The Value of Determination
I recently read a children's book about Helen Keller. It was amazing because it talked about the value of determination. In the world of branding, determination is important and remembering what others have gone through before you helps.
Helen Keller was born able to hear and see, but a childhood illness left her hearing and sight impaired. If you close your eyes and plug your ears, you can imagine what she was feeling.
With the help of Anne Sullivan, a teacher for the blind, Helen was able to begin learning words and eventually Helen went on to learn how to read in Braille.
Helen was so determined that she went on to college and graduated with honors, a mighty feat for someone that was both blind and deaf in her day.
Helen began to help others see that they too could overcome any difficulties they faced and live long, happy lives.
The point of this story is to provide inspiration for all those out there facing any difficulties, whether with your brand or life in general. Be determined in large and small ways and you will succeed. Redemption exists and people like Helen Keller are the proof.
Today there is a Helen Keller center located in my hometown and I am proud that a little sprinkle of her determination helped me to write this today.
