We've really lost a gem this time. The sultry hip-hop singer Nathaniel Hale, better known as Nate Dogg lost his life after suffering two strokes and a heart attack. His rise to fame came with the West-coast rap era of the 90's. His style was fly and his voice buttered every track. He will truly be missed.

I can't help but love Dr. Dre's new video feat Eminem. The song is very loaded with shots at Dre's so-called friends as he reminisces on his experiences and his rise to the top as rap's elite.
I give the video concept two thumbs up and in fact am quite excited to hear more from the best doctor this side of the Mississippi - Dr. Dre.

My weekend was fab. Before I go on, I want to say that I pay homage to Martin Luther King Jr., on this holiday weekend. The Dream Is Still Alive.
My trip to NYC was full of interesting twists and turns. What started off as a simple trip turned into much more. The New York Palace was the first destination.
Afterwards I attended Today's Black Men's Magazine's 16th Annual Male & Female Swimsuit Fashion Show & Party. and model call. It was an event that I highly recommend, find out more about these and their affiliate magazines at www.lindennewday.com.

Months after Kanye West’s critically acclaimed album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, hit shelves, its cover art is still causing controversy. In an interview with The New Yorker, artist George Condo, who designed all of the covers—including the notorious artwork featuring an armless, white, naked phoenix sitting on the lap of a naked black man holding a bottle—said Mr. West specifically asked for an illustration that would get him in trouble.
“A couple of weeks before my first visit to Condo’s studio, Kanye West, the rapper, asked him to do a painting for the cover of his new album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” writer Calvin Tomkins wrote in his New Yorker story. “West said that he had seen paintings by Condo, and wanted to collaborate with him. According to Condo, he also said that he was looking for ‘something that will be banned.’”
“West came to Condo’s studio, where for several hours they listened to tapes of his music, and over the next few days Condo made eight or nine paintings,” the article reads. “Two of them were portraits of West, one in extreme closeup, with mismatched eyes and four sets of teeth. Another showed his head, crowned and decapitated, placed sideways on a white slab, impaled by a sword. There was also a painting of a dyspeptic ballerina in a black tutu, a painting of the crown and the sword by themselves in a grassy landscape, and a lurid scene of a naked black man on a bed, straddled by a naked white female creature with fearsome features, wings, no arms, and a long, spotted tail. West chose that one.”
As previously reported, Ye took to his Twitter account back in October to announce that the powers that be did not approve his vision for his forthcoming CD booklet. “Yoooo they banned my album cover,” he wrote that afternoon. Adding, “In all honesty … I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers.”
A rep for Walmart denied the allegations. “We’re excited about Kanye West’s new album and we look forward to carrying it in our stores on November 22nd,” a spokesperson said. “As always, it’s our standard practice to carry the edited parental advisory version. We did not reject the cover artwork and it was never presented to us to view.”

Didn't get enough of Kanye West in 2010? The Chi-town rapper is already planning big things for the New Year, making a grand announcement while celebrating New Year's Eve in Las Vegas with his big brother Jay-Z. Though he promised that 'Watch the Throne,' his collabo project with Jigga, would land in stores before '10's end, 'Ye has announced that the highly anticipated disc would be arriving in one week.
While performing his hit 'Runaway' and 'Monster' with Jay, Kanye took the opportunity to share with the audience at Marquee that the project will be here sooner than expected. "We got that new 'Watch the Throne,' comin' in one week," said a smiling 'Ye, posted up next to Hov with a bottle of champagne in hand.
Kanye first revealed the project's existence in August, when he announced on his Twitter account that he and Jay would be dropping the five-song mini-album, with the first single set to be 'Monster.' He later announced that the EP would be turned into a full-length album, heading to England with Jay to put in work on the LP.
So far, 'Watch the Throne' has spawned the single 'That's My Bitch' featuring Elly Jackson, with the track hitting the 'Net in late November. The project is said to feature production from Pete Rock and Q-Tip, and 'Ye has described that the album is "going to be very dark and sexy, like couture hip-hop."
