On Saturday, June 9, 2012, The Maryland Beer Pong League will host a Charity Beer Pong Tournament to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Beer Pong, also known as Beirut, is a drinking game in which players throw a ping pong ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in a cup of beer on the other end.

The event titled, Baby Steps To A Cure, will take place at club Midtown, located at 1219 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington DC, with registration commencing at 1pm.

To show Examiner's support for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and The Beer Pong Leagues efforts to raise money for a cure, we salute with a cocktail aptly named, The Cure.

Made with Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur and Miller High Life, this summer cocktail takes on a life of its own as it engages your senses and elevates your conscious.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons (1 ounce) Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
10 tablespoons (5 ounces) light lager, such as Miller High Life
1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) fresh lemon juice
5 (1-inch) pieces peeled fresh ginger cut into thin matchsticks

Fill 12-ounce cooler (or highball) glass with ice cubes. Add ginger liqueur, beer, and lemon juice and stir until combined. Garnish with ginger sticks.
