On Monday, January 25th, 2010 Elite DC Magazine will pay homage to the “Best in the DMV”. Festivities will begin at 7 pm at the new popular venue Recess. Expect to see special guests and a live performance by MTV’s “Making the Band’s” DeAngelo Redman and 368 Music Group’s Phil Ade. This will also serve as an industry networking event, as there will be many party promoters, artists, managers, radio personalities and socialites in the building.

What makes Elite DC’s “Best of the DMV” different from a lot of award shows? The nominees and even winners are chosen by your own peers. In December 2009 Anwaa Kong (Publisher of Elite DC Magazine) opened the voting up to nominate who you thought the “Best of the DMV” was and then in early January 2010 after all of the nominations were tallied, the categories were posted and the voting process began to vote for the actual winner in a particular category.
